Just 10 minutes north of Lincoln City. The English language fails to find the words that describe adequately the beauty of this area. This is the place for those that yearn to be in touch with and inspired by nature.
It is also home for the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology. The area encompasses a 270 acre haven for rare plants and houses 250 species of wildlife. There are epic hikes for those that like to walk and endless vistas to enjoy. Homes vary in size and settings range from pastoral waving grasslands to ocean and river settings. Many enjoy an extraordinary degree of privacy. Properties are very coveted and seldom come up for sale. Are you more into the mainstream of things? Do you prefer lots of choices regarding the basic activities (eat, shop, entertainment)? Well for you it may be Lincoln City. A resort town that never entirely goes to sleep since this is where Chinook Winds Casino call home! Everything tends to be near by - from golf, kites, surf, sand to Starbucks. This is an area to consider if you are looking for Location, Location, Location in every sense of the word!! For starters it is well located having close access to Highways # 101 & #18 - great for the Salem and Portland week-enders. It is also near Chinook Winds Casino as well as their newly acquired golf and country club complete with 18 holes, clubhouse, dining and full work-out facility. Restaurants and shopping are nearby as well. What makes it a primo area though is the lay of the land itself. In Roads End the majority of homes have superb views! If it is your heart’s desire to be able to step out of your door and dip your toe in the water there is a gorgeous stretch of beach to accommodate you.
If you like the idea of a private gated community with a newly designed Peter Jacobsen golf course, fine dining serving Northwest cuisine, spa/work-out facilities, tennis and a swimming pool then consider looking at Salishan.

Boasting the worlds smallest harbor; it is nonetheless home to the Coast Guard, countless fishing boats and private craft. If you like a quaint town with good eats (especially seafood), a rugged and dramatic coastline...this could be it!
Just south of Depoe Bay sits yet another gem of an area. Perched on volcanic cliffs is the private community of Little Whale Cove.
This area unites the Oregon forest to the Pacific ocean. The 268 homes of Little Whale Cove have the only private beach on the Oregon coast - a spectacular shimmering lagoon! There are several miles of walking and biking trails as well as indoor tennis and a pool. Home builders were encouraged to blend in and harmonize with the natural setting which has created a community in step with nature. Are you the type that like to be "in the hub"?
Do you like a little bigger town that has some of the major stores but also has quaint, historic shopping areas as well? Do you like to stroll down the street in the summer and hear live music or sit up over the harbor and watch the seals play? Are there times you are craving more serous entertainment? Newport is the town that fills the bill for the ying & yang in life.

Some days you feel like strolling to the wharf and buying your fish and other days you want to pitch your own crab pot off the wharf...
Home selection is huge - Ocean & Bay front - in town and on the outskirts. Single family, duplex and condos.
If the ocean does not call your name in it’s roar, but the idea of fishing off your own dock does then consider casting a look at Otis or the Siletz River areas
This is by no means an exhaustive list of communities, but hopefully it gave you a bit of the "flavor" of the Central Oregon Coast.
